Airbus has underestimated Boeing, according to EADS co-head Tom Enders.

Enders told a press briefing on Tuesday (11 July) that it was important for the new Airbus A350 - which is currently being redesigned - to be a superior aircraft to its competitor model, the Boeing 787.

Enders also said that the priority for EADS is to solve problems at Airbus. The EADS co-head said that Airbus is not under time pressure and that the timing of a decision on the design of the A350 is not tied to the Farnborough Air Show in the UK, Reuters reported.
