New customers and license renewals led growth for strong finish to fiscal year 2004
(PRWEB) January 3, 2005 — Alignent Software, the market leader in enterprise strategic product planning software, today announced it closed 2004 with the most successful second half in company history. Results for the period ended December 31, 2004 show a 35% increase in bookings over the same period in 2003. The growth is attributed to new customer acquisition and license renewals for existing customers.
During the third and fourth quarters, Alignent Software has signed new license agreements with several key clients and renewed contracts with such existing customers as: Boeing, Corning, Honeywell, Lockheed Martin and Motorola.
“Our notable second half performance speaks volumes, not just about our company’s effective business model, but about the growing market acceptance for software solutions to automate the innovation planning process,” says Dennis Clerke, CEO of Alignent Software. “More and more leading manufacturers are realizing the tangible benefits from software for strategic product planning, including faster time to market, the elimination of redundant projects and increased technology re-use.”
Since the release of Vision Strategist in 2001, Alignent Software has doubled the new customer acquisition rate each year and has grown to be a leading software provider in the strategic product planning domain. Innovation remains the primary driver of future revenue growth, yet limits on overall development spending require solutions to deliver more productive innovation. Today, fewer than 15% of companies have any systems in place to manage the process of innovation, according to an innovation survey by CBI. As such, Alignent Software expects strong continued performance ahead.
Alignent Software’s signature product, Vision Strategist, delivers enterprise-wide innovation management by allowing global organizations to capture, share and re-use detailed product planning data in a standardized format. It’s through this roadmapping process that companies can transform ideas into future breakthrough products. Alignent Software achieved several other key milestones in the second half of 2004, including:
• The expansion of its executive leadership team with the appointment of Dennis Clerke as CEO. Clerke was formerly President and CEO of Cardiff Software.
• The expansion of its professional consulting services domain with the hiring of systems consultant veteran Patrick Ward.
• Recognition as a Corporate Innovator to Watch in the December 13, 2004 issue of FORTUNE Magazine.
• The release of new reporting capabilities in Vision Strategist providing business users with visibility into current and future technology development.
“Our results prove that our hard work and attention on solving vital customer needs is paying off,” says Carl Dietz, Chief Strategy Officer of Alignent Software. “The growing adoption of strategic planning and roadmapping by so many preeminent organizations validates our efforts in developing groundbreaking software solutions to make an enterprise more competitive.”
