SEATTLE — Machinists union members who work for The Boeing Co. voted overwhelmingly Wednesday to approve a new three-year contract that union leaders called the best in the business.
The pact won 86 percent approval, the highest ever for a Boeing contract, union chief negotiator Dick Schneider told a cheering crowd Wednesday night.
The vote was 26,842 yes to 4,328 no. A simple majority was needed for passage.
