Different Types of Used Aircraft for Sale
Filed Under Airlines | Comments Off
A business jet is a general term used for a small aircraft designed to transport individuals for business purposes. These aircraft for sale are usually chartered by executives of large firms and wealthy private individuals. Business jets also transport heads of states and government executives. Some business jets can also be modified for delivering parcels, evacuating victims during times of crisis, or for field work. These small aircraft are well known for convenience, versatility, and class. Business jets can also be called executive jets, VIP transport, or corporate jets.
Airplane manufacturers build these small jets specifically for niche markets. Since these planes cater to the wealthy, the market for these aircraft for sale is very competitive. The top manufacturers of business jets include Gulfstream, Hawker, Mitsubishi, Lockheed Martin, Airbus, and Boeing. These manufacturers invest a lot of R&D funds to make planes sleeker, faster, more reliable, and more convenient to ride.
Business jets are divided into different classes, with each class offering different capacities, luxury, and cost.
Airliners or Heavy Jets
Airliners or heavy jets are the biggest class of business jets and the class that most travelers are familiar with. Most airlines offer charter services in addition to their usual commercial services. There are also airlines dedicated to offering only charter services. The airliners’ seat configuration is engineered to optimize the space available while providing the most seats possible. Airliners have a range between three hours for cross country flights and up to fifteen hours for cross border flights. Luxuries aboard these aircraft include stereo, DVD, in-flight phones, adjustable seats, and more. Heavy jet models include the Airbus A319CJ, Airbus A380, and Boeing Business Jet.
Turboprop Business Jets
Turboprop or turbo propelled jets are smaller and cheaper priced, ideal for short flights. Turboprops can carry two to eight passengers and can run up to four hours. These aircraft are well suited for short runways in small towns and remote locations. These jets are also popular for private individuals who need exclusive transport. Luxuries include air-conditioning, stereo, reading lights, seats, and tables.
Super Mid-size Jets
This class of jets features a wide body for more cabin space and capabilities to go over high altitude at ideal speeds. This class matches the need of business executives for long-range travel, combined with the speed and comfort of a wide-bodied aircraft. The best models for this class include the Gulfstream G650, Embraer Legacy 600, Dassault Falcon 900DX, and Bombardier Global Express
Mid-size Jets
These jets are suited for long-range travel and transcontinental flights with larger passenger capacity. Mid-size jets work well with normal runways and specialized private runways. This class includes Learjet 85, Cessna Citation Sovereign, Dassault Falcon 2000EX, Embraer Legacy 500, Gulfstream 400, and Hawker 4000.
Light and Very Light Jets
The light jets and very light jets class have provided charter services to a mass market of businessmen since the early 60’s. They are small, reasonably affordable, light, and can land on any runway; perfect for easy access on any habitable point on earth. Very light jets can land at community airports since their take-off weight is less than 10,000 lbs. Some of the best light and very light jets include the Learjet 45XR, Cessna Citation Encore, Embraer Phenom 300, Beechcraft Premier I, Piperjet, and Citation Mustang.

About Kingisher Airlines
Kingfisher Airlines Limited, is a major Indian airline. Kingfisher operates more than 400 flights a day and has a network of 72 destinations, with regional and long-haul international services.[1]. Kingfisher Airlines, through one of its holding companies United Breweries Group, has a 50 percent stake in low-cost carrier Kingfisher Red, formerly known as Air Deccan
This is one of the finest airplane spotting photos I have ever taken. The first Airbus A330-200 of Kingfisher Airlines VT-VJK in it’s beautiful red and white livery against the blue spring skies approaching Bengaluru International Airport.
Sadly this is a sight we cannot expect to see in Bangalore for the foreseeable future. In a re-structuring of it’s international operations Kingfisher Airlines has stopped it’s first and sole wide-body international flight from Bangalore.
Earlier today IT002 came in from London Heathrow. It will be ferried across to Mumbai to commence new operations Kingfisher is launching from Mumbai to Hong Kong later tonight and to Singapore from tomorrow.
Starting tonight, Kingfisher Airlines IT 071 will depart Mumbai at 22:55 and arrive at Hong Kong at 08:05 the next day. IT 072 will depart Hong Kong International Airport Terminal 2 at 14:05 and arrive in Mumbai at 5:50 pm.
From tomorrow, Kingfisher Airlines IT 029 will depart Mumbai at 23:05 and arrive at Singapore at 07:05. IT 030 will depart Singapore Changi Airport Terminal 3 at 10:15 and arrive Mumbai at 13:05 local time.
The Kingfisher Airbus A330-200 is considered one of the most lavishly appointed. It features a two classes, with 30 seats in Kingfisher First (Business Class) and 187 in the economy Kingfisher Class.
Service on board Kingfisher First features a social area comprising a full-fledged bar staffed with a bartender and a break-out seating area just nearby, fitted with 2 couches and bar stools, in-seat massagers on every seat, and in-seat power adapters.
The entire aircraft features the Airbus mood lighting and the best in-flight entertainment system of any Indian carrier.
The aircraft are not being used intensively, and it is possible that Kingfisher might squeeze another flight like Mumbai Dubai out of the aircraft.

How did the Boeing and Airbus aircraft get their names?
Filed Under Airlines | Comments Off
For instance, with the 700 line of Boeing’s commercial aircraft-why would they pick 707,717,727,737,747,757, and so on? Also, for Airbus aircraft, why would they pick A300, A310, A318, A319, A320, A321, and so on? I know that some of the names indicate modifications (the A318 and A319 indicate shorter versions of the A320), but how did the original series of the Boeing and Airbus aircraft get their names?

Why do Boeing passenger planes always begin with 7 and Airbus with 3? Is there a reason?
Filed Under Airlines | Comments Off
I was wondering, why do Boeing jets always have the prefix 7 and airbus the prefix 3. Is it just conicdeintail or does each airplane manufactuer get a designated prefix with only they can exclusivley use?

The Phenomenal Growth Of Low Cost Airlines
Filed Under Airlines | Comments Off
It was in 1903, when the Wright brothers were triggered with instinct act of feather-flyers and invented the first ever aircraft. Because of continual research and technological up-gradation, we have the modern-day flights having multitude of aircraft types for diverse purpose.
The Past about Aircrafts
People whoever tried to come up with a variant from existing aircraft technology had the dealt with the same four old forces – lift, weight, thrust, and drag. Additionally, they had to deal with the challenges of stability and control too.
Flying faster than sound then led to development of Concorde and it had its own special demands.
Innovation in Aircraft Design – Airbus A380
Among the world leading aircraft manufacturers, Boeing, Airbus, and Tupolev develop larger aircrafts for passenger and cargo transport, while Bombardier and Embraer concentrate on developing small and mid-size commuter aircrafts.
The most recent double-deck Airbus A380 from Airbus is a four-engined airliner and had its first flight on 27 April 2005 from Toulouse in France. Commercial flights of Airbus A380 are expected to commence in early 2007, with the delivery of the first aircraft to Singapore Airlines.
The Airbus A380-800, a passenger model, is the largest passenger airliner in the world with maximum speed range of 15,000 km, capable to fly from Chicago to Sydney nonstop at a cruising speed of Mach 0.85 (1,050 km/h). The model provides large spacious cabin room with 50% more floor space than the next largest airliner, providing seating for up to 853 people in its full economy class category.
Airliners, a Factor in Economies Growth
There exists almost some 260 airlines world over, comprising for 94% of international air traffic. During 2005, international passenger traffic increased by about 8%, largely driven by continual acceleration in world economy and strong price competition from airliners. A study by IATA confirms that liberalization in air travel directly benefits the economies by increasing GDP, employment, tourism, and exports.
How Lost-Cost Airlines Serve?
A Low-cost airline is the popular way to get discount airfare. Airlines offering such cheap fares work in a different strategy, as they club-in all classes together to one economic class without any frills. They provide travelers a heavy discount on the cost of tickets and generally, fares get cheaper as the date of departure advance. There are many large reliable low-cost airlines world over, offering discounts and remain a reliable alternative to other discount travel methods.
Lost-cost airline are designed aiming at simplifying the travel experience to minimize hassle and give more control to each passenger by eliminating tickets and provide a maximum amount of services on the Internet and through self-service kiosks .
Furthermore, the airline industry is increasingly exposed to a more general low-price environment through greater competition from new low-cost airlines and constraints in adjusting excess capacity. Low-cost airlines target executives from small and mid-size business houses and tourists who travel across the globe.
In recent days, passenger flow in Europe is boosted because of rising trend in short leisure flows and this trend is further boosted by growing popularity of low-cost airlines. Increasing need of travel among people is very much seen in recent days and being wise to select the right airliner could be another important aspect of air traveling. So, when you are in need of faster service at low rate, cheap fights are one that serve your need.
