EADS, a European aerospace group, has said that it is willing to change state funding for Airbus if the US changes its way of supporting Boeing.

In an interview with France’s Le Monde, co-president Noel Forgeard said that Boeing benefits from support from NASA, federal states and the governments of Italy and Japan. Forgeard also said that there will be no unilateral decision and that the funding for research in European countries and from the European Commission has to be available.

According to Reuters, Forgeard said that Airbus could be flexible on funding and that Europe wants to avoid a trade war with Washington.
