GE Aviation, a provider of commercial and military jet engines and components and a business unit of General Electric Company (NYSE:GE), announced on Monday (18 June) that the company has been selected by Boeing Company (NYSE:BA) to provide components for the Bell Boeing V-22 Osprey aircraft.

Under the contract GE will provide the primary and secondary lighting controllers, forward cabin control station, hydraulic fluid level monitor, and ramp door control panel for the Bell Boeing V-22 Osprey aircraft.

The agreement, valued at approximately USD15m, is for five years and 167 aircraft.

GE Aviation’s panel and lighting controllers will reportedly provide the V-22 with a highly integrated solution for precise lighting control in the aircraft’s interior, including cockpit instrument, console, flood, formation and dome lighting.
