Japan Airlines (JAL) is the first licensed customer of Boeing Commercial Aviation Services to use its Maintenance Performance Toolbox, a set of solutions for aircraft maintenance and troubleshooting.

The Maintenance Toolbox is accessed as a secured, hosted service via an Internet browser, and JAL has access to the Structures Tool within Maintenance Toolbox under the terms of the agreement. The solution uses intelligent documents and visual navigation to assist technical operations staff when troubleshooting aircraft systems. It helps staff to manage structural repair records, task cards and parts and 3D models are provided by the Structures Tool to record, view and analyse structural repairs.
