From what I understand. To become A&P certified all you really need is experience in the field(2 or 3 years) and the knowledge and ability to prove you are competent in the required areas(a test). Also I believe you do not need to be certified to work on stuff,But you do need a certified mechanic to sign off on it. If anybody out the knows or happens to be a aviation mechanic I would greatly appreciate any insight into the industry. Thanks
