Gol converts remaining 737-800 options, increases order
The parent of Brazilian carriers Gol and Varig has converted its outstanding options on 34 Boeing 737-800s and signed a new contract covering the acquisition of 40 more of the type for delivery through to 2014.

Airbus A320-214 Alitalia Fridric Chopin Emergency Landing - Engine Failure 1 min 48 sec - Feb 10, 2007 Landing at Nikos Kasanzakis Airport - Heraklion - Crete - a Greek island . Both engines failed . I made a whole 360 degree turn around the airport, then a steep turn to the final approach course to runway 9 . Actually I should have landed on runway 27 because the wind direction was close to that runway, but I was already too low and I was unable to make another turn around the airport . At downwind runway 9 I was already below 10,000 feet
